Description: This presentation will provide an overview of the award-winning West Park Wet-Weather Strorage Facility project in Wilmette, Illinois, and show how the design-build process and intergovernmental cooperation enabled the project to be such a great success. Attendees of this event will learn the following—
• The importance of using accurate flow monitoring data to properly calibrate a hydraulic model to diagnose the cause of basement backups and other overflows, determine the magnitude of the issue, and pinpoint solutions and design parameters that provide the best results
• How to promote strong working relationships among government agencies
• The benefits of design-build and how to use it on a tight schedule and within budget
