Description: A discussion of the history of local flooding leading to the construction of the project. The Southwest Wet-Weather Control Facility is a sophisticated system activated by flow levels at the pumping station that are then directed to a dry-weather force main or a wet-weather force main and a two-million-gallon temporary storage tank located adjacent to the Water Reclamation Facility. This system provides needed protection from recurring basement backups for southwest area property owners and minimizes activation of permitted emergency sewer overflows.
