RJN Selected by Winnetka to Conduct Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Studies

Wheaton, Ill., July 11, 2017 - RJN Group, Inc. (RJN) is pleased to announce a new contract with the Village of Winnetka (Village).

Since 2015, RJN has assisted in bringing the Village into compliance with the new Inflow/Infiltration Control Program (IICP), a part of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago’s (MWRDGC’s) Watershed Management Ordinance (WHO). Under this new contract, RJN will inspect a portion of the Village’s highest priority sanitary sewer system and develop a comprehensive rehabilitation program to help meet MWRDGC’s IICP requirements.

Among the services that RJN will provide for this particular contract are:

  • Manhole Inspections
  • Smoke Testing
  • Dyed Water Flooding
  • Closed-Circuit Sewer Televising Coordination and Review
  • Data Analysis and Reporting

Using the data collected from this study, RJN will provide targeted and prioritized recommendations for reducing inflow and infiltration and system rehabilitation, thereby extending the life of the Village’s sanitary sewer system.

The Village of Winnetka is a Cook County suburb north of Chicago. The Village owns and maintains more than a quarter-million feet of separate sanitary sewers, serving approximately 12,000 residents. The Village has been proactive in removing extraneous inflow and complying with MWRD requirements.
