Title: Evaluation of Lateral Rehabilitation for Flow Reduction in Wheaton, IL: A Statistical Approach
Description: After rehabilitation is completed to reduce inflow and infiltration (I/I) in the system, one of the most common questions is "Did it work?" In this presentation, the City of Wheaton will be used as a case study. The City completed lateral lining in two basins along with additional rehabilitation in an effort to achieve a reduction in wet-weather flow. Flow monitoring was completed before and after. Then, a creative statistical approach was used to determine whether or not the flow reduction was successful. Results are shared from the Wheaton pilot studies as well as future recommendations for pre/post rehabilitation studies.
